Xylem is seeking mechanically inclined professionals who are passionate about hands‑on work and problem‑solving. The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites safely and efficiently. This role includes troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, managing parts inventory, and identifying and resolving safety issues on both company and customer equipment. The technician will have direct customer interaction and may be responsible for work across multiple systems, locations, or customers.

Responsibilities
Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture
Care for company property
Demonstrate high‑impact culture through innovation, accountability, and empowerment
Function effectively in a team environment
Work independently with minimal supervision
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, diesel, and industrial systems
Conduct preventative maintenance and parts inventory
Identify and address safety issues for company and customer equipment
Communicate effectively with customers and team members
Travel to customer sites as required
Requirements Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Capable of obtaining a CDL (Class A or B) with applicable endorsements
2–5 years of technical work experience, including industrial or commercial process water experience
Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
Clean driving record
Preferred
Industry‑specific license(s)
Additional hands‑on experience in HVAC, plumbing, diesel, or construction
Skills & Competencies
Mechanical, electrical, diesel, or fusion experience depending on business unit
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently
Technically sound with the ability to synthesize technical information
Customer service experience and strong communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices

Compensation & Benefits The estimated salary range for this position is $25,000 to $30,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is based on skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. Xylem offers a competitive compensation package including:
