Manufacturing Engineer – Powertrain Casting
Client’s Powertrain Casting Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support the Bodine Aluminium, Jackson, TN location.
What you’ll be doing
Manage Projects: existing vehicle powertrain and BEV development, including pre‑production preparation of casting products, planning, budget development, equipment procurement, installation, and casting trials leading to SOP.
Manage Processes: study TMC based processes, develop unique NA Operation Drawings, shikumi development, hoshin goals, build and manage problem list, and apply TBP problem‑solving methods.
Lead / Manage Team Members: lead a project group during the pre‑production phase, schedule meetings, lead contractors, review materials, and gain consensus.
What you bring
BS (or above) in Engineering or equivalent; Mechanical Eng, Metallurgical Eng, Electrical Eng.
3+ years of Production Preparation and/or Manufacturing Experience.
1+ years of major model change experience impacting part quality and manufacturability.
1+ years as a project leader responsible for working‑group coordination and milestone management.
What you may bring
3+ years of Casting or Metals‑related manufacturing engineering experience.
1+ year of High‑Pressure Die Casting Experience.
1+ year of direct working experience with NC machining.
1+ year of working knowledge with Fanuc Robot and Toyopuc PLC.
1+ year of experience with 2D/3D CAD systems for equipment layout and part/die modelling.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Creo or other 2D/3D programs.
Programming and troubleshooting industrial PLC platforms.
Experience preparing documentation, presenting, and gaining approval for capital projects and cost‑justification proposals.
Successful completion of JKK and TBP.
Experience leading TEMA PE Projects with budgets exceeding $5M.
1+ CLIENT project cycles from Planning to SOP.
