The ideal candidate is a hands-on, field-focused leader with extensive experience managing complex multifamily developments from groundbreaking through final turnover. This role requires a proven ability to coordinate large teams, drive schedules, maintain strict safety and quality standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget. The Senior Construction Superintendent will serve as the primary on-site leader, working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations and successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all daily field operations for multifamily ground-up construction, including high-rise and mid-rise residential developments. Manage, schedule, and coordinate subcontractors to ensure full compliance with project plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contractual obligations. Develop, manage, and update detailed project schedules; identify potential delays and implement corrective measures to maintain target completion dates. Enforce strict safety practices; conduct toolbox talks; perform regular jobsite safety audits; ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies. Conduct frequent site inspections to verify construction progress, installation quality, and adherence to architectural and engineering plans. Oversee procurement, delivery sequencing, material staging, and equipment logistics to support schedule efficiency. Partner with project management to track budgets, cost trends, labor productivity, and change orders; offer solutions to maintain financial objectives. Mentor, develop, and lead field personnel, creating a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Review construction plans, shop drawings, RFIs, and specifications to ensure accuracy and alignment with code requirements before and during construction. Act as the primary on-site contact for owners, design partners, inspectors, and external stakeholders; maintain clear and professional communication. Prepare thorough daily, weekly, and monthly reports documenting progress, safety metrics, manpower, inspections, and productivity updates. Resolve field issues promptly by coordinating with subcontractors and design teams to keep the project progressing smoothly. Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent, with substantial ground-up multifamily construction experience required. Proven record managing multifamily developments, including mid-rise and high-rise structures. Strong knowledge of building systems, construction sequencing, plan interpretation, and the multifamily construction process. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills; able to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with owners, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams. Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling platforms, documentation systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
