Senior Charge Description Master Specialist *Remote*
Join Providence Health & Services in a remote role focused on Charge Master (CDM) responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Ensure Charge Master consistency with coding and billing regulations.
Act as liaison between Hospital ministries and our Revenue Integrity Chargemaster department.
Research and resolve CDM maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Train hospital ministry staff on CDM maintenance, coding updates, and charge capture improvement.
Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflow between the system and ministries.
Document policies and procedures for CDM maintenance and charge process.
Collaborate with IS, Clinical Informatics, and Integration personnel on technology projects impacting charge entry.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Sciences, Finance, Accounting or related field.
5+ years Hospital Charge Master experience, including CDM maintenance software and inpatient/outpatient billing (UB-04), CMS Medicare methodology.
Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD‑10 coding principles.
3+ years operational performance improvement or project management experience.
5+ years experience working with Hospital EMR related to Charge Master, preferably Epic EAP.
3+ years experience with CDM Maintenance tools/software such as Craneware, Vitalware, nThrive.
5+ years experience with Hospital charging practices.
Preferred
Coding experience.
Salary Range by Location
AK: $40.11 – $62.27
California (Northern): $46.91 – $72.82
California (Southern): $41.81 – $64.91
Idaho: $35.69 – $55.41
Montana: $32.29 – $50.13
New Mexico: $32.29 – $50.13
Nevada: $41.81 – $64.91
Oregon: $37.39 – $58.05
Texas: $30.59 – $47.49
