PhD Quantitative Researcher (2026 Start)
We are partnering with a leading global HFT firm that is looking to make
PhD-level graduate hires for 2026 . The firm is widely regarded for its
low-latency infrastructure ,
execution capabilities , and
consistent strength in cash equities .
Role Overview In this role, you will work
end-to-end across the research process :
Developing new trading ideas and signals
Evaluating and refining existing strategies
Understanding how signals translate to PnL and market behaviour
Working closely with engineers to bring research into production
This is a
hands‑on research role
with real impact, where strong theoretical reasoning, curiosity, and practical implementation skills all matter.
Requirements
PhD in a STEM discipline (ideally Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields)
Strong programming ability in
Python and/or C++
Achievements in quantitative competitions (e.g.,
IMO, IPhO, ICPC ) are a
strong plus
