Job Overview
We are seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join a fast-paced accounting team in
Medford, NJ . This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in
tax preparation, general accounting, and GAAP compliance . The position is fully onsite and will require
overtime during tax season .
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, businesses, corporations, and estates
Perform detailed reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
Handle general bookkeeping, AP/AR, and payroll activities
Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end close activities
Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather financial information and resolve inquiries
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
OR
equivalent professional experience
5+ years of experience in tax preparation and general accounting
Strong knowledge of
GAAP
Hands‑on experience with
AP/AR and Payroll
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a deadline‑driven environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
Lacerte tax software
CPA certification (highly preferred)
Fully onsite role (business casual dress code)
Standard hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Overtime expected during tax season
due to high workload
