Job Responsibilities
Provides part‑time mechanical engineering expertise for HVAC and mechanical system oversight for the construction project. Performs site visits, inspections, mechanical submittal and RFI reviews, QA/QC support, and coordination with the COR, AE, GC, and commissioning agent.
The Mechanical Engineer (CM-M) will support the project through mechanical systems oversight, including HVAC, controls, and cooling systems.
Duties include assisting the COR with mechanical submittal and RFI reviews, performing scheduled onsite inspections, contributing to pre‑construction evaluations, monitoring construction for compliance with mechanical specifications, leading mechanical QA activities, and assisting in schedule, cost, and change management analysis.
The CM-M will support commissioning activities, identify deficiencies, documents findings, and provides technical recommendations to ensure mechanical systems meet project requirements and healthcare facility standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with specialization in HVAC, digital controls, and IT system cooling from an accredited institution.
Minimum six (6) years of experience in both design and construction.
Experience in healthcare and IT projects/facilities is critical.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
Strong communication and computer literacy skills.
Must be a United States Citizen.
