The
Senior Accountant
will prepare and upload general ledger entries for all assigned companies. Maintain balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Reconcile, review and analyze general ledger account balances monthly for all assigned companies, including statistical and census data. Along with preparing monthly reports. This position will provide Accounting support to the Accounting Manager in daily tasks and will aide in the essential Accounting requirements of DSI Management and the facilities the company manages.
Candidate must have
advanced proficiency
of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF statements, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, and experience with Macros, as well as strong Microsoft Word skills and familiarity with General Ledger accounting software.
Timely preparation and distribution of financial statements.
Prepare Detail sheets and reconcile Trial Balance Accounts for assigned companies.
Prepare the following monthly summaries reports - Days, Cash on Hand and Debt Service Coverage Ratios.
Prepare Medicaid and Medicare Cost Reports.
Preparation of periodic reports as required for governing bodies, regulatory agencies & mortgage holders.
Calculate Monthly Management & Participation Fees based on Management and Corporate Administration Agreements as needed.
Maintain and reconcile Fixed Assets for all assigned companies.
Assist A/R in the maintenance of spreadsheet summaries used in the billing process. Prepare monthly billing for assigned companies.
Thoroughly review and approval of accounts payable activity and coding before posting to GL.
Prepare internal annual operating budgets, forecasts and other projects assigned.
Coordinate the preparation and gathering of information for a variety of audits.
Reviewing Residents files, preparing the refunds and filing the files.
Preparation and Reconciliation of Sales TAX and other Tax filings required.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
Experience: Six years’ experience in accounting field required. Accounting experience that is related to General Ledger, bank reconciliation, account analysis, payroll, taxes and fixed assets required.
Salary: $72,800 per year
