Senior Accountant – Hospitality – Miami – Hybrid
This is an in office opportunity and will require being in the office out of our clients Florida HQ. This is not a remote position.
Our client is a publicly traded leader in their industry who is looking to fill a critical role in their accounting group. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who is looking for an organization where they can grow and develop within a phenomenol team. In this role you will oversee the accuracy of financial records by reviewing and consolidating transactions and maintaining compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory standards. You will work closely with leadership to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and support key business initiatives.
Responsibilities
Reviews and processes transactional activity to keep sub-ledger accounts accurate, researching and correcting variances as needed.
Manages general ledger activity by consolidating account data, completing reconciliations, and supporting period-end close activities.
Compiles financial data and posts entries impacting assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Prepares financial summaries and reports by analyzing data and producing core statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
Stays current on accounting standards and best practices through ongoing learning, industry resources, and professional engagement.
Qualifications
3+ years' of professional accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA preferred
Strong Excel skills and able to use Pivot Tables
Understands internal & SOX controls
Fixed Asset experience would be a plus
