Accela Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and driven accountant to join our corporate team in Manalapan, NJ. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys managing the full accounting cycle with precision and efficiency.
Base pay range $22.00/hr - $40.00/hr
What You’ll Do
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure proper reporting and compliance.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as healthcare-specific reporting requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, vendors, and leadership teams.
Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic financial decision‑making.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred, but not required).
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, long‑term care, or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
