Clamp teardown, rebuild, and alignment Extruder teardown and inspection (screw/barrel) Ability to install new screws & barrels Gearbox inspection and oil service Head teardown, cleaning, reassembly Die gap adjustment & head centering Hydraulic troubleshooting (valves, manifolds, pumps) Mold installation and alignment Trimmer setup, timing, and rebuild knowledge Diagnoses mechanical failures effective Electrical & Controls Skills

Understands Allen-Bradley PLC fundamentals Able to trace faults in ladder logic / I/O Capable of 480V and control wiring troubleshooting Understands drives, servos, contactors, sensors Can calibrate parison programming systems Knows temperature control systems (zones, heaters, thermocouples) Processing Skills

Can perform full machine startup and warmup Able to set, adjust, and optimize parison profiles Troubleshoots weight variation and distribution issues Adjusts cycle time and machine parameters for efficiency Understands resin characteristics (HDPE, PP, LDPE, PCR, multi-layer) Can perform container qualification (drop test, top load, capacity) Preventive Maintenance

Performs full mechanical PM checks Documents PM findings thoroughly Conducts oil sampling and filter replacement Services cooling and water systems Performs head cleaning and extrusion PM Completes maintenance logs and PM reports accurately Troubleshooting Capability

Diagnoses hydraulic pressure issues Identifies extruder output or surging issues Troubleshoots temperature zone or heater failures Corrects parison programming faults Fixes mold alignment and flash issues Resolves trimmer and deflashing inconsistencies Professional Skills

Communicates clearly with operators & management Maintains professional customer-facing behavior Trains plant personnel effectively Writes accurate service reports and recommendations Works independently with minimal supervision Willing to travel and support emergency service calls Certifications (Preferred)

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Lockout/Tag out training PLC basics course Forklift or man-lift certification Polymer processing or technical training (Paulson, Routsis)
