We have an opportunity for a
Manufacturing Engineer
to join our
Manitowoc, WI
team. In this high‑impact role, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and optimizing control systems that elevate equipment performance, boost process reliability, and streamline operations. You will collaborate across departments, influence strategic decisions, and bring smart automation solutions to life—all while helping us shape the future of manufacturing.
You will:
Lead automation and controls projects from concept to commissioning
Develop and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, Robot and Vision programs
Apply data‑driven problem‑solving and statistical methods to optimize performance
Define scopes of work (SOWs), source vendors, and manage contract deliverables
Provide technical support for plant operations, focusing on control systems and automation reliability
Drive Lean and Kaizen initiatives to improve production processes
Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to ensure control systems meet product and engineering standards
Identify and eliminate root causes of recurring downtime related to automation and controls
Document proposals, validation results, and system changes
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
5+ years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on automation and controls
Experience in robotics programming, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming
Experience with electrical design
Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results
LEAN Manufacturing experience preferred
Compensation: For this full‑time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $71,000 - $131,800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
