Vaco Los Angeles is looking for Sr payroll specialist to their team. This position requires the preparation, processing, and maintenance of full payroll cycle. As part of this large-growing company, you will be responsible for performing a variety of payroll functions including processing high volume, multi-state, and biweekly payroll tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with processing the biweekly payroll of 2,000 + employees
Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of full cycle payroll functions
Process multi-state allocations
Help with payroll functions including data entry, timesheet review, reconciliation and payroll related record keeping
Aid with new hires, terminations, benefit deductions, leave of absences, federal/state/local tax withholdings, garnishments, direct deposit, retro pay, bonus payments, stipends, gift income reporting
Reconcile and audit all timesheets for errors after managers approval and follow up if needed
Verify all pay statements during preview for accuracy and process adjustments if necessary
Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-ends related tasks
Assist in the training and development of payroll staff
Build and run custom reports from the payroll system when necessary
Timely and accurate reporting of manual checks
Ensure compliance with state and feral laws
Support internal and external audit request
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications / Must Have:
Strong knowledge of ADPWFN
Experience in high volume and multi-state payroll process
Solid understanding of state and federal tax and law requirements
Great customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled at decision-making and problem-solving
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
