Structural Engineer - Waterfront/Marine Focus - Entry to Junior. Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is a worldwide leader in this field. Our Tampa, FL office is actively searching for an entry-level Engineer with a Structural focus and interest in waterfront/marine engineering. As the successful new hire, you will perform planning and design for waterfront structures projects, including heavy lift cargo ports, marine terminals, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads, marinas and bridge protection structures. The ideal candidate will have structural analysis and modeling experience. Duties and Responsibilities

(selected): Responsible for analysis, design, and inspection of waterfront structures, asset management, and other maritime projects; structural analysis and design with timber, steel, concrete and composite materials; prestressed concrete analysis and design; develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed; assist in resolving design problems which may include field investigations, detailed design work, and checking design computations; calculate construction quantity estimates; collaborate with architects, engineers, scientists, project managers on multi-discipline projects; review shop drawings and technical submittals for construction support services; perform construction site inspections and prepare inspection reports. Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with Structural coursework required; 2 to 4 years of structural engineering experience in a civil/structural design firm is strongly preferred (internship experience will be considered); OR: Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with structural internship experience EIT required Preferred experience using: SAP2000 or STAAD, LPile, AutoCAD Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Post-offer, proof of U.S. citizenship and a clear background check may be required All new hires will complete a pre-employment background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to work in the U.S. and to present required documentation at hire Benefits
