As a technician at Penske, you’ll perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best‑maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry, keeping customers’ vehicles in shape and on the road.

Main Responsibilities
Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
Perform preventive maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires—and complete vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
Partner with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
Basic computer skills.
Compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
Ability to meet DOT driver qualification file requirements and pass required screens.
Willingness to work the required schedule, location, complete application, background screening, drug screen, physical, and potential travel for training.
Physical Requirements
Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
Use hands daily to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate tools or controls.
Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
Work safely in all weather conditions.
See and hear to navigate the work environment.
Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg). Push/pull truck tires >100 lbs.
