Insulator (Lugoff, SC) - Austin Industrial - PER DIEM PAID
Location:
Austin Bridge & Road, Lugoff, SC
Project Details Project will last 6-8 weeks, working 50 hours a week (5/10s). Per Diem of $85 will be paid if you live 75 miles or further from the facility and provide proof of residency. No travel pay.
Responsibilities
Must be an experienced Industrial METAL INSULATOR with 3 or more years of experience.
Must have background in industrial insulation with metal, tank, piping and ductwork experience.
NCCER preferred.
Scaffold Builder background a plus.
Must be able to install insulation and fittings, pipe cover and board materials, such as perlite and calcium silicate.
Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws/ bands to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.
Makes flat sheet metal layouts of finished parts, such as sheet metal "square-to-round" transitions, offsets, flashing, tapered elbows, transitional elbows, "Y" branches and compound fittings.
Brush adhesives and mastic application to insulation material.
Using tape measure or other measuring device, measure and cut metal material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces.
Must be able to use hand tools and equipment to form, crimp, or roll metal in place.
Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment, including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, be able to reach overhead, work in various positions (stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting), use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, work at heights, balance for extended periods, and climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Other duties as assigned.

No minimum education requirements.
Experience:
3 years of Insulator experience. Scaffold building background a plus.
Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check, as a condition of employment.
