Job Overview
Operate a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to produce machined parts, maintain quality and safety standards, record logs, and communicate any irregularities. Responsibilities
Plan machining by reviewing work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications. Program mills by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation, and calculating requirements. Set up mills by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, collets, and attachments. Verify settings by measuring positions and inspecting first run parts. Maintain specifications by performing drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, and threading operations, and adjusting controls as needed. Troubleshoot processes and request repairs as required. Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts using mechanical equipment and blueprints. Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of related machining experience. Ability to read and interpret simple to complex drawings and work instructions in English. Basic computer skills desired. Effective communication with a diverse personnel base. Work Schedule
Typical shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. – 11:45 p.m.
Flexibility for evening and weekend work may be required.
