Electronics Technician

to join our team in

Silverdale, WA . This is an onsite position. This role supports the U.S. Navy's efforts on a portfolio of engineering services, specializing in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for acoustics applications.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior engineers and technicians to support the design, troubleshooting, and implementation of technical solutions for Navy-related acoustic and electronic monitoring systems.

Perform inspections, routine maintenance, and complex repairs on submarine-based electronic systems, with a primary focus on monitoring and diagnostic equipment.

Diagnose and resolve intricate electrical and electronic issues using specialized tools, while conducting system tests to assess performance and identify faults.

Repair or replace defective components such as wiring, circuit boards, and other electronic hardware to restore and maintain optimal system functionality.

Conduct developmental and experimental testing of electro‑mechanical systems, including circuit testing, calibration, and modifications to prototype models or specialized test equipment.

Support engineering documentation by writing, editing, and reviewing integration and testing materials, and providing feedback on design improvements and repair procedures.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards by following established guidelines and documenting all maintenance, repair activities, and configuration updates.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of technician experience, preferably specializing in electronics.

Must be willing to travel 25% to various US Naval Installations and aboard US Naval Vessels for short duration, approximately 4-6 travel events per year.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience as an Electronics Technician or a similar role, with a strong background in troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems.

Familiarity with submarine monitoring systems and their associated technologies is highly desirable.

Proficient in using electronic testing equipment, hand tools, and diagnostic software.

Knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve complex electronic issues.

Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Clearance Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen and be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

Frequently communicates with co‑workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. May have to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.

Work in confined spaces and challenging environments, as required for submarine maintenance and repair.
