Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, this role supports the plant in all maintenance areas, performing repairs, upgrades, and installation of new equipment. Perform daily preventive maintenance and repairs on all manufacturing equipment. Support installation of new equipment as required. Identify and determine parts needed for repairs. Communicate effectively with operators and management regarding daily maintenance needs and priorities. Accurately fill out required reports for problems/repairs and paperwork for parts ordering. Keep work area clean and organized, incorporating 5S principles. Troubleshoot issues with plant machinery. Repair molds and use appropriate mold setup procedures. Replace or repair bearings and related parts. Make minor low‑voltage wiring repairs and fully understand and comply with ARC Flash requirements. Create fabrications from drawings and schematics. Perform repairs in precarious, high, and enclosed areas or locations. Perform welding in various positions and locations, using appropriate weld techniques. Replace equipment parts with proper instructions and tools. Understand equipment operations to safely start or jog equipment for maintenance tasks. Work with operators and supervisors to resolve machinery failures and performance issues. Perform all maintenance tasks within specified safety requirements and company procedures. Learn to operate Block machine, Cuber, loader, unloader, BECO machine, and any other required equipment. Assist in safety meetings and report hazardous conditions. Maintain predictable and regular attendance; ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Qualifications
0–2 years of welding and machinery maintenance experience. On‑the‑job training and ability to perform duties. Proficiency with stick or MIG welders and oxy‑butane or arc torch. Strong reading, writing, and mathematical skills. Fabrication skills. Some PLC and VFD knowledge preferred. Proven problem‑solving skills. Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with chain and belt conveyor components. Forklift and heavy equipment knowledge; ability to obtain forklift certification. Preferred own portable tools. Valid driver’s license; up to 5% travel required. Predictable and regular attendance; ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Physical Demands
Frequent use of hands to manipulate tools; reach with hands and arms; stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Occasional driving of personal vehicle to pick up and drop off parts. Occasional bending at the waist; lift or move up to 100 pounds. Up to 5% travel time required by personal vehicle. Work Environment
Plant environment with loud noise, moving machinery, dust, and dirt. Outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures. Use of mandatory and other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Salary and Benefits
