Field Services Engineer

Base pay range
$90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Up to $110,000 base + benefits
Travel:
Regular travel to wafer fabs across the USA
The Opportunity We are working with a well-established semiconductor equipment manufacturer supplying machinery into the front‑end of the semiconductor manufacturing process. Due to continued growth and customer demand across the US, they are looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to support installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities at customer fabs nationwide.
This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role suited to an engineer who understands the realities of working in a wafer fab environment and enjoys regular travel.
Key Responsibilities
Installation, commissioning, service, and repair of front‑end semiconductor equipment at customer fabs
On‑site fault finding and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and process‑related issues
Preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure maximum tool uptime
Providing technical support and training to customers’ engineering and production teams
Acting as a technical interface between customers, applications, and engineering teams
Producing accurate service reports and documentation following site visits
Supporting continuous improvement by feeding back field issues to R&D and engineering
Requirements
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer within the semiconductor equipment industry
Strong understanding of wafer fab operations, cleanroom protocols, and fab‑related challenges (uptime, yield impact, contamination control, safety, etc.)
Experience supporting front‑end semiconductor tools (FEOL equipment)
Solid mechanical, electrical, and/or electro‑mechanical troubleshooting skills
Comfortable with regular domestic travel across the USA (often to leading‑edge fabs)
Strong communication skills and a professional customer‑facing approach
Based in Arizona or willing to relocate
