Associate’s degree or Technical/Trade School. Minimum 5 years’ experience in operation and repair of production equipment. Proven proficiency with insertion and bindery equipment; electrical and electronics repair experience is a plus. Experience with reporting tools such as Jet/IQ. Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills. Strong technical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Effective leadership and team management abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Job Summary
The Supervisor Production Maintenance will oversee the Production Technical Support Department, ensuring timely maintenance and repair of production equipment while maintaining smooth workflow. The role involves managing personnel, monitoring operational metrics, and communicating daily with senior management on strategic scheduling and performance issues. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring both technical expertise and strong people management skills. Key Responsibilities
Supervise and provide direction to all production mechanics and technicians. Maintain parts inventory and coordinate ordering with vendor and cost tracking. Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion. Stay current with technology and equipment used by the department. Assume all management responsibilities in the absence of the Department Manager. Meet or exceed Cost Per Unit targets, including labor, overtime, and inventory control. Maximize machine throughput and monitor equipment downtime. Coach, counsel, motivate, and develop technicians under direct supervision. Verify administrative work is completed accurately and according to procedures. Reward, recognize, and discipline staff as appropriate. Maintain records related to department personnel. Span of control: approximately 6-8 FTA’s + 6-8 TE’s, including all production equipment. Provide daily updates to senior management on work scheduling and performance metrics. Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned. Work Schedule
