Land Surveyor

Job Summary
Langan is searching for a Land Surveyor to join its team in Cleveland, OH. The role involves gathering field data, supporting survey plans, and assisting in construction layout for a variety of projects including commercial, solar, warehouse, data center, shopping center, and residential.
Responsibilities
Collect field data for surveys using equipment and software.
Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, and aerial photographs to assess project needs.
Assist in recovery of survey control, construction layout, invert, subsurface utility information, and photo documentation.
Recommend new approaches to improve efficiency and services.
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
High School diploma or higher required; Bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferred.
2+ years’ experience in topographic, boundary, utility survey, construction layout, GPS.
Familiarity with AutoCAD required; experience with Carlson and Leica processing software a plus.
Experience with EM or GPR utility locations a plus.
Knowledge of local, state, and surveying regulations.
Strong CAD and computer skills (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Carlson, etc.).
Proficient in mathematics, attention to detail, multitasking.
Excellent analytical, judgment, communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Travel to project sites and client locations, overnight stays as required.
