Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD .
Scope Provide mechanical engineering analysis and support services for industrial operations and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Experience in Industrial operations and manufacturing
Review of facility designs for compliance with energetic requirements.
Review of drawings for compliance with energetic manufacturing to include controls, schematics, and structural drawings.
Ability to evaluate step by step processes and identify hazards.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field
Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes.
Some fabrication involved, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
Provides leadership and guidance to a functional area and the organization.
Advisory role on complex and challenging projects and initiatives
Work is highly independent.
Explosives Operations (Preferred)
Education and Experience Requirements
Experience in developing system descriptions and developing Technical Data Packages.
Bachelor of Science (BS) in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineer technology.
Ability to obtain Secret or Interim Secret security clearance.
