Principal Program Cost Control Analyst – Linthicum, MD. This onsite position offers a 9/80 work schedule. Travel: 10% of the time. No relocation assistance available. Clearance type: Secret.
What You’ll Get To Do In this role, you will partner with program managers, functional leads, cost‑account managers, and business managers to deliver financial support and analysis that meet program needs. Your responsibilities include creating budgets and schedules for contract work, conducting funding‑profile, sales‑outlook, cash‑forecast and variance analyses, managing Earned Value Management tasks (WBS development, baseline budgeting, cost‑risk assessment, estimates‑to‑complete reporting), monitoring contract costs and schedules, ensuring compliance with negotiated terms and government guidelines, maintaining accurate expenditure records, preparing projection reports, submitting funding requests, supporting audits, contributing to annual and long‑range planning, and providing financial data for internal reports and presentations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with minimum 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum 1 year experience with Earned Value Management.
Minimum 1 year experience with financial systems (cost performance reporting and analysis).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting).
US Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with COBRA, COGNOS, SAP.
Current active DoD Secret clearance.

Salary Primary level salary range: $89,900.00 – $134,900.00. Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives may apply depending on position and performance. Base pay may be adjusted based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
