Controller - Healthcare Facility Saint Simons By The Sea is a 101-bed psychiatric and addiction disease hospital for adults and adolescents located on Saint Simons Island, Ga. Responsibilities The Controller assists the Chief Financial Officer in financial management by supervising Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Electronic Data Processing, ensuring timely financial statements in accordance with PSI Accounting policies.

Prepare adjusting journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures.

Review all subordinate adjustments for compliance with PSI Accounting Policies.

Support the Facility by providing financial and statistical information to management to evaluate departmental functions efficiently.

Provide information to Department Directors and CFO regarding variances from Budget.

Maintain all general ledger account reconciliations in an organized and professional manner consistent with Corporate Finance Accounting Procedures.

Perform Cash Account Reconciliations for the Depository, Disbursement and Payroll accounts.

Assist the CFO in the Annual Budget Process by preparing schedules, analysis and providing data entry as requested.

Prepare adjusting journal entries as part of the monthly close and reporting process consistent with GAAP and Corporate Finance Accounting Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

Four-year degree in Accounting or related field required.

Three years’ experience in the field of Accounting required.

Direct experience in healthcare or hospital organization preferred.

Three years’ supervisory experience required.
