ANB Bank is seeking a dedicated Universal Banker to join our team in Basalt, Colorado. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, handle a full range of teller and banking operations, and actively promote bank products and services to foster strong customer relationships.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Employee Type: Non‑Exempt, Full‑Time
Hiring Pay Ranges:
Universal Banker I – $22.00‑$23.75 per hour
Universal Banker II – $22.50‑$25.00 per hour
Universal Banker III – $23.75‑$27.13 per hour
Universal Banker IV – $25.00‑$29.75 per hour
Additional $1.00 per hour may be earned through the Spanish Communication Assistant Program.
Annual salary estimate: $22.00‑$29.75 per hour (incl. $2.00 per hour Cost of Living Adjustment)
Responsibilities
Process paying and receiving transactions and maintain accurate records.
Cash checks within assigned limits and guidelines.
Complete daily cash settlements of cash and proof transactions.
Balance cash drawer and handle daily cash adjustments.
Open checking, savings, money‑market, and certificate of deposit accounts; order debit/ATM cards and starter checks.
Apply selling techniques to open, develop, and close sales; actively cross‑sell products/services; pursue prospective customers on‑ and off‑property.
Identify customer financial needs through in‑person service, cold calls, referrals, and marketing initiatives.
Provide product knowledge and recommended banking solutions, referencing the ANB C.A.R.E.S Client Onboarding procedure when applicable.
Seek and recommend cross‑sell and referral opportunities to deepen banking relationships.
Respond to customer needs, establish effective working relationships, and take appropriate action on customer requests.
Deliver efficient, courteous service, researching problems and implementing appropriate resolutions.
Collaborate with team members to meet branch goals and objectives.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold all bank, BSA, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Participate in training and development activities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
Support the company's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications by Level
Universal Banker I
– No experience required; preferred previous customer service or cash handling experience; ability to work in a fast‑paced environment; basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; reasonable accommodations available.
Universal Banker II
– Minimum 6 months prior bank experience in teller or personal banker duties, or 1 year of cash handling/customer service experience, or equivalent education/experience; proficient computer skills; intermediate knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations; reasonable accommodations available.
Universal Banker III
– Minimum 2 years prior bank experience for external candidates or 1 year for internal candidates; proficient computer skills; advanced understanding of banking products, services, and regulations; reasonable accommodations available.
Universal Banker IV
– Minimum 4 years prior bank experience for external candidates or 2 years for internal candidates; proficient computer skills; subject matter expert on banking products, services, and regulations; reasonable accommodations available.
