Maintenance Mechanic.

What this job involves Join our healthcare facilities team where you'll be responsible for maintaining critical hospital systems that directly impact patient care and safety. This versatile role combines technical expertise with hands‑on maintenance in a fast‑paced hospital environment. You'll be an essential part of JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety. This position offers the opportunity to work with specialized hospital equipment and systems while contributing to a life‑saving healthcare environment.

What your day‑to‑day will look like

Perform daily rounds and system monitoring including O2 readings, medical air readings, and visual generator inspections to ensure critical hospital systems operate safely.

Troubleshoot hospital electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to quickly identify and resolve issues that could impact patient care.

Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment following strict healthcare protocols.

Complete daily facility maintenance tasks including wall patching, painting, drywall repairs, and general building repairs according to contract specifications.

Analyze system operations, diagnose problems and malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal performance.

Maintain accurate logs, document equipment repairs, complete work orders, and provide timely communication with Facility Manager and Lead Engineer.

Support regulatory compliance activities and healthcare facility standards to ensure patient safety and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in healthcare or critical facility environments.

General maintenance background including drywall repair, painting, basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment specifications.

Excellent flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and emergency situations.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented healthcare environment.

Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, lift equipment, and work in various facility areas.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous healthcare facility maintenance experience with knowledge of medical gas systems and hospital equipment.

Certifications in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing trades.

Experience with hospital-specific systems including medical air, oxygen, and emergency power systems.

Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and safety standards.

Basic carpentry and painting skills for facility maintenance tasks.

Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.

Location & Work Shift Location: Green Cove Springs, FL. On‑site.

Work Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On‑call rotation: One week of on‑call duty, rotating.
