Position Title: CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator
Wage:
$25-$30/hour

6am-2:30pm
QPS is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Lathe Set‑Up Operator to join our client's growing production team in Hartland, WI. This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys hands‑on set‑up work, thrives in a climate‑controlled shop environment, and takes pride in producing high‑quality, precision parts.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate Hardinge and Haas CNC lathes.
Work with Fanuc & Haas controls; perform tooling offsets and minor program edits as needed.
Perform hourly part inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
Accurately complete quality documentation and maintain production records.
Troubleshoot set‑up or machining issues to keep production running smoothly.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
Prior CNC lathe set‑up and operation experience (Hardinge or Haas preferred).
Familiarity with Fanuc & Haas controls.
Ability to perform tooling offsets; program editing experience is a plus.
Proficiency in using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Strong blueprint reading and part inspection skills.
Detail‑oriented with a commitment to quality.
