Major Entertainment Client
is seeking a
Staff Accountant
to support accounting and controllership functions during month‑end and quarter‑end close. This role focuses on journal entries, intercompany activity, AR support, and financial reporting within a fast‑paced studio environment.
Duration :
6‑month W2 contract – open to extension/conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and upload journal entries in Oracle, including network, intercompany, participation, and recurring studio journals.
Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, including audit and internal review deliverables.
Assist with cash receipts and accounts receivable, including payment application and AR aging reports.
Perform intercompany balance reconciliations across divisions.
Support fixed asset tracking and related reporting.
Distribute daily P&L and balance sheet reports to finance stakeholders.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to track delivery memos and ensure proper documentation.
Qualifications:
2–3 years of accounting experience.
Strong experience with journal entries and month‑end close.
Oracle experience required.
Moderate to strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines in a team environment.
