Roles and Responsibilities

Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non‑profit clients.

Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission.

Financial reporting for management and Board decision making and presentations.

Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures, supporting client strategy and best practices.

Conduct transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintaining workpapers.

Analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting.

Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting.

Prepare for and manage annual audit.

Provide client and staff training opportunities.

Qualifications

Passionate about working in or supporting non‑profit organizations.

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

5–7+ years of accounting experience.

Preference for experience in a remote environment.

Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive in a timely manner.

Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems.

Non‑profit accounting, public accounting experience, and/or consulting experience is a plus but not required.

CPA certification is a plus.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Standard 35‑hour full‑time work week, with eligibility for paid overtime for non‑exempt employees.
