Bilingual Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator

Overview Franklin Dental and Braces — Decatur Hours: 7:45 am – 5:00 pm Travel required: 2 locations (Mon/Tues – Buford Hwy; Wed/Thurs – Candler Rd; Friday – administrative day, 4 hrs).
Position requires Bilingual Spanish proficiency and has a preference for orthodontic treatment coordinator experience and sales experience.
Responsibilities
Obtain high treatment acceptance by explaining cost, insurance coverage, and finance options.
Patient communication and education: explain treatment plans and timelines in clear terms and handle patient questions.
Financial coordination: present financing options, assist patients with affordability, educate on insurance and payment plans, and manage outstanding balances.
Administrative duties: schedule and confirm appointments, maintain detailed patient records, submit paperwork to insurance.
Technical assistance: operate X‑ray machines and assist with clinical tasks when certified.
Solicit referrals from patients after treatment and track satisfaction.
Perform to the highest integrity by adhering to all regulations, company standards, and compliance programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED required.
A minimum of 1 year orthodontic or equivalent experience required.
Required or Specialized Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous sales experience; comfortable discussing costs and payment plans.
Responsive to patients—follow‑up and answer questions.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Understanding and ability to communicate orthodontic techniques.
Preferred Skills:
Work experience as a treatment coordinator in a dental practice (ideally 3+ years). Knowledge of orthodontic treatments.
3+ years of sales or customer service experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of dental insurances, financing, and self‑pay collections.
X‑ray certification and CPR certification.
Bilingual Spanish (plus).
Physical Requirements
Communicate and exchange information with patients, parents, clinicians, and staff.
Operate a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment.
Lift/carry up to 30 lbs; twist, turn, bend, and stoop.
The majority of work is in a clinical environment which may require availability for extended hours during peak periods. Work hours may change to meet business needs.
