Role Description This is a full‑time, hybrid role for a
Review‑Level Tax Accountant
based in our
Florida office (Jacksonville) , with flexibility to work from home as business needs allow (after initial training). In this role, you will focus on the
review and preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns , ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the firm’s high standards for
tax accuracy, risk management, and exceptional client service .
Responsibilities
Review complex individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and multi‑state tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tax regulations.
Prepare and review advanced tax returns, including multi‑entity and multi‑jurisdictional filings.
Identify tax‑planning opportunities and potential compliance risks; communicate findings to managers and partners.
Supervise, coach, and mentor staff‑level accountants during the tax return preparation and review process.
Stay current on federal, state, and local tax law changes and apply guidance to client engagements.
Support the firm’s commitment to proactive client service by responding to tax questions and contributing to client deliverables in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of
U.S. tax compliance and tax accounting principles , including individual and business taxation.
At least 4 years of experience reviewing tax returns and ensuring compliance with IRS and state taxing authority requirements.
Proficiency in tax preparation and review software, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills in a deadline‑driven environment.
Demonstrated ability to review returns with clear and professional communication.
CPA license or CPA‑eligible
strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Prior experience in public accounting is required.
