Responsibilities
Counsel prospective students with regard to admissions, transfer credit, residency, and other university polices
Assist prospective students in person, over the phone, texting, video messaging, and via email
Manage a recruitment territory by managing the number of inquiries, applicants, and enrolled students
Enter prospective student data into the Student Information System and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system as well as maintain and run reports for the assigned territories
Maintain current knowledge of Banner (Student Information System), Radius (CRM), BDM (scanning system), Argos, and other systems used by the University
Travel during and after normal business hours to represent the university at recruitment events and activities year round
Prepare and send correspondence to applicants
Maintain recruiting reports for all recruiting events attended
Conduct recruitment presentations on and off campus
Build mutually beneficial, positive working relationships with assigned high school counselors and counterparts at other institutions
Maintain a positive working relationship with faculty and staff in all departments
Organize and plan outreach opportunities with community leaders, organizations, and groups
Plan travel according to state travel guidelines
Conduct all duties in a manner which provides a positive reflection of the University
Complete all other duties as assigned by the Director of Recruiting or the Executive Director for Enrollment Management
Required
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willing to extensively travel and work non-traditional hours
Highly self-motivated
Effective multi-tasking and organizational skills
McNeese State University, located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is a public university and a member of the University of Louisiana System. McNeese typically accepts evaluations by World Education Services (www.wes.org) or Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. www.ece.org.
