Position Title: Temporary Crowd Control Officers (Continuous Pool Recruitment)

Job Profile: Crowd Control Officer

Key Job Responsibilities

Control pedestrian and vehicle movements within parking lots and roadways.

Suppress unlawful or unsafe activity through presence or proactive measures.

Take enforcement action under lawful police authority to address unlawful or unsafe activity.

Monitor and control crowd movements within event venue.

Compensation Hourly salary: $60.00, plus $0.80 per hour for weekend hours and hours 6 p.m.–6 a.m.

Not exempt from overtime provisions of FLSA.

Required Qualifications

Full-time sworn law enforcement certification with LESB, in good standing with primary employer.

Proven response to incidents using LESB RESPOND model with high proficiency in de-escalation.

Knowledge of Wisconsin traffic and pedestrian law.

No history of excessive use of force violation or other related violations.

Preferred Qualifications

Full-time sworn law enforcement in good standing with primary employer, jurisdiction within Brown County WI.

Conditions of Appointment Part-time, temporary University Staff appointment. Work hours as needed; schedule varies by event including days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Criminal conviction investigation will be conducted. In compliance with Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, no discrimination on basis of arrest or conviction record.
