HR Coordinator

in the Los Angeles or surrounding area(s) to support day‑to‑day people operations. This role is ideal for an early‑career HR professional who enjoys administrative work, learning HR best practices, and contributing to a positive company culture.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Support:

Assist with posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and supporting a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience for new hires.

HR Operations & Administration:

Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems, assist with benefits enrollment and payroll updates, and ensure completion and filing of required employment documentation.

Employee Support:

Serve as a first point of contact for routine HR questions, directing employees to appropriate policies and resources while escalating sensitive matters as needed.

Compliance & Documentation:

Support compliance efforts by helping track required trainings, maintaining labor law postings, assisting with audits, and preparing basic HR reports.

Culture & Engagement:

Support employee engagement initiatives, team events, recognition programs, and internal communications that promote a collaborative and inclusive workplace.

Must-Have Qualifications

Experience:

1–5 years of experience in an HR, People Operations, or administrative support role; hospitality or service industry experience is a plus.

Knowledge:

Basic understanding of HR practices and employment compliance; familiarity with California labor laws is helpful but not required.

Skills:

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Tools:

Experience using HRIS, ATS, or payroll systems preferred.
