Senior Employee Relations Specialist – Acrisure Acrisure

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough, impartial investigations of complex employee‑related issues such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environments, and policy violations, and independently manage a broad range of cases.

Ensure consistent application of Acrisure policies and practices throughout investigations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for investigations, coordinating with stakeholders (including Legal) and communicating updates on progress.

Apply effective interviewing and documentation techniques.

Synthesize data, identify patterns, corroborate facts, and prepare concise written reports with actionable recommendations for countermeasures, operational improvements, and risk mitigation.

Advise parties on findings and track completion of agreed actions.

Assist in developing and delivering performance feedback, corrective/disciplinary documents, and action plans.

Collaborate with Legal, HR, and business partners on employee‑relations concerns and comply with company policies and applicable laws.

Maintain a secure repository of case materials in line with confidentiality and data‑retention policies.

Provide guidance and support to HR business partners, managers, and junior Employee Relations Specialists.

Stay current on employment law, regulations, and industry best practices; recommend policy updates.

Partner with cross‑functional teams to develop educational materials, policies, and procedures.

Perform additional policy, compliance, and regulatory functions as assigned.

Qualifications

Strong conflict‑resolution and mediation skills with impartiality.

Experience preparing effective investigative reports with findings and recommendations.

Excellent analytical skills to collect and synthesize data from disparate sources.

Strong problem‑solving, interpretive, and evaluative abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels.

Time‑management and organizational skills to handle high‑volume workload.

Experience developing or delivering employee‑relations training.

Strategic thinking and ability to navigate a complex, matrixed organization.

Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Management, or equivalent practical experience. Master’s degree preferred.

PHR or SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP preferred.

Advanced knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.

5–7 years of relevant Employee Relations / Investigations experience in an HR business‑partner role, Employee Relations role, HR leadership, or employment law practice.

Multi‑state experience preferred.

Workday experience is a plus.

Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office suite.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on‑site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross‑functional partnership.
