We’re looking for a detail-driven and experienced
Certified Payroll Specialist
to join our team in Hunt Valley, MD. In this role, you’ll serve as the go-to expert for all things payroll — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service for both our internal teams and external partners.

What you’ll do:
Process payroll for multiple companies and provide backup support for the payroll team.
Process Certified Payroll report weekly, in compliance with Davis Bacon Laws/Prevailing Wage.
Post WennSoft payroll data daily.
Register new tax accounts and manage related compliance documentation.
Reconcile quarterly and annual payroll reports.
Research and resolve payroll tax notices promptly and accurately.
Set up and audit wage attachments.
Provide audit support to the Finance team as needed.
Maintain confidentiality with all sensitive employee and company information.
Offer backup support to the Director of Payroll and assist with special projects as assigned.
What you’ll bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
5–10 years of experience managing payroll for a large, multi-state organization.
Strong understanding of payroll calculations, wage and hour laws, and FLSA regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe; ERP experience preferred.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization.
FPC or CPP certification preferred.
Dayforce and Certified Payroll Reporting experience strongly preferred.
