Experienced Financial Paraplanner
In-Office | Full-Time | Immediate Opening
About the Role
We are a growing financial advisory firm seeking an experienced Financial Paraplanner to support two Financial Advisors in delivering comprehensive retirement planning and individual wealth management solutions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys deep planning work, investment analysis, and collaborative advisor support, with opportunities for long-term growth within the firm.
The paraplanner will work closely with advisors, an executive assistant, and a group health broker to ensure a seamless client experience, high-quality financial plans, and timely execution of recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain comprehensive retirement and financial plans
Conduct investment analysis and assist with portfolio and product recommendations
Model and analyze scenarios using planning and income software (e.g., eMoney, Income for Life)
Assist advisors with annuity, retirement plan, and managed account solutions
Prepare reports, presentations, and supporting documentation for advisor meetings
Communicate plan details, follow-ups, and implementation steps with advisors
Maintain accurate records within CRM systems (Redtail, Salesforce)
Collaborate across the team to ensure deadlines, compliance, and client expectations are met
Provide limited client interaction, primarily in a support and coordination role
Required Qualifications Candidates must:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in financial planning, finance, business, or a related field
Have 5+ years of experience in a financial paraplanning or advisory support role
Possess strong knowledge of:
Retirement planning strategies
Annuities
Managed accounts
Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Demonstrate exceptional organization, attention to detail, and deadline management
Excel at problem-solving and professional communication
Thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Be adaptable and able to shift priorities as needed
Accept feedback and constructive coaching positively
Be authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Pass background checks and any required pre-employment testing
Be willing to obtain Series 7, Series 65 or 66, and CA Insurance licenses (firm support provided)
