Investment Performance Analytics Manager (Investment Fund)
Our client is a well-respected $20+ billion global equity investment management firm with offices in New York and London, established in 2003. The NYC team seeks a skilled data and performance analyst/manager with extensive experience working with global equities and long‑term investment strategies. This key role reports directly to the COO.

Key Responsibilities
Create and manage performance reporting, risk analysis, attribution, characteristics, model portfolio simulations, and statistical analysis.
Assist in developing and standardizing performance analytics for portfolios and GIPS composites, including support for external verification exams.
Build attribution reporting aligned with investment team strategies, including risk‑based attribution and ex‑ante risk analysis.
Maintain and enhance screening tools to define the investable universe based on investment team parameters.
Develop analytics for marketing and client service teams, including characteristics, risk exposures, performance drivers, and detractors.
Support broader risk analytics across investment strategies, including liquidity, country risk, and volatility reporting.
Respond promptly to analytical and data‑related inquiries across all levels of the organization.
Learn, manage, and optimize research and data systems, including evaluating third‑party platforms and customizable tools.
Streamline workflows and help design new processes through automation, system enhancements, and integration of advanced tools.
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience in the investment management industry, including global equities, performance calculation, data analytics, and reporting.
Deep expertise in quantitative performance analysis and reporting standards (e.g., GIPS, SEC requirements).
Advanced proficiency with Excel and FactSet (required), including data extraction, analysis, and presentation.
Experience with broader data platforms, AI tools, or programming languages is a plus.
Strong understanding of investment strategies, asset classes, and return evaluation methodologies.
Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
Computer science or technical background preferred.
Creative, process‑oriented mindset with the ability to improve and redesign workflows.
