Senior Technical Accountant . This role is available as a hybrid position for candidates in Nashville and surrounding areas, with a remote option for those outside the region.
Summary We are seeking a Technical Accounting Senior to join our expanding Corporate Accounting team. This new position offers the opportunity to work on complex accounting topics and directly contribute to the foundation of a newly built Technical Accounting department.
Responsibilities
Research and document accounting conclusions on complex transactions including business combinations, leases (ASC 842), Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL / ASC 326), debt refinancing, and derivatives.
Assist in drafting new accounting policies and procedures, including process flowcharts and internal controls.
Support quarterly and annual reporting deliverables with detailed analysis and supporting documentation.
Work directly with external auditors, preparing requested schedules and providing technical explanations.
Collaborate with SEC Reporting, Consolidations, and Corporate Accounting teams to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across the company.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects, including system implementations and integration activities.
Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and adaptability in managing competing priorities within deadlines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred (or passed sections toward certification).
2–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or large corporate environment).
Strong knowledge of GAAP and exposure to complex accounting topics.
Hands‑on experience with audit coordination and preparation of technical accounting documentation.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with OneStream, Blackline, or similar tools preferred.
