Job Summary
The Financial Systems Manager (FSM) - ERP PPM & P2P is responsible for the strategic management, optimization, and support of Oracle ERP Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) modules within the Finance department.
The FSM will be the primary contact regarding the company's financial systems, from system configuration processes to sophisticated accounting and reporting that is actively used in PPM and P2P.
This role will lead cross‑functional team members and participate to ensure seamless integration of PPM and P2P processes, drive system enhancements, and support end users in maximizing the value of Oracle Cloud solutions, manage system upgrades, troubleshooting, configuration of existing and new functionality, and documentation to support operational excellence in PPM and P2P. The FSM will also provide on‑call support during off business hours on a rotational schedule, manage implementations related to mergers and acquisitions, and coordinate testing of quarterly system updates to maintain platform stability and compliance.
Collaboration with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, audit, compliance, and delivering high‑quality support and training are key aspects of this position.
The FSM will have strong communication skills and must interact regularly and comfortably across various departments, speaking with business acumen and translating technical details to IT teams and cross‑functional management teams.
The FSM will have leadership qualities of mentoring, growing, and motivating financial system professionals, along with taking responsibility and accountability of accomplishing team goals.
Job Duties
Leads the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Oracle ERP PPM and P2P modules
Manages and/or participates in ERP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements for PPM and P2P to ensure optimal performance
Coordinates with business users to gather requirements and translate them into PPM and P2P system solutions
Develops and maintains documentation for PPM and P2P processes, configurations, functional specs, and user guides
Provides training and support to end users on Oracle ERP PPM and P2P functionalities
Monitors system performance and resolves technical issues in collaboration with IT and Oracle support
Ensures compliance with internal/external audit controls, policies, and regulatory requirements for PPM and P2P processes
Assesses impact of change requests related to PPM and P2P business requirements, managing updates, enhancements, integrations, testing, and ensuring compliance with firm change control and change management procedures
Investigates and resolves complex issues by collaborating with internal and external resources to develop solutions for PPM and P2P modules
Provides leadership, management, and coordination for project direction, goal setting, planning, estimating, resource allocation, and assignments for PPM and P2P initiatives
Collaborates with IT, Finance, FPA and procurement teams to drive system efficiencies in PPM and P2P
Maintains data, application and report security procedures and responds to security inquiries related to PPM and P2P modules
Engages with Senior Management or Internal/External Audit to clarify security requests for PPM and P2P
Participates in internal audits of PPM and P2P system procedures, presenting evidence of executed processes and reports in compliance with defined controls
Develops and proposes strategies to grow adoption of Oracle ERP PPM and P2P modules, along with emerging technologies and automation
Coordinates and trains team members on processes to conform to audit controls for PPM and P2P projects, operations, documentation, process improvements, implementations, fixes, and updates
Participates in preparing project budgets, staffing plans, and recommendations for PPM and P2P initiatives
Leads and participates in driving effective data stewardship across functional business owners through data integrity, efficient configurations, and data validation in PPM and P2P
Oversees financial system functionality, configurations, fixes, and enhancements in PPM and P2P that impact general ledger or sub‑ledger systems
Participates on Vendor/Customer Advisory Boards when available
Assists with creation and preparation of the annual financial system budget for PPM and P2P
Provides on‑call support during off business hours for Oracle ERP PPM and P2P modules
Strong aptitude for problem solving based on trends in support issues, data management to perform needs assessments and make recommendations to the business and senior management
Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities
Monitors and provides performance feedback to Financial Systems Analysts throughout the year
Ensures Financial Systems Analysts are effectively trained on PPM and P2P systems and processes
Prepares and conducts annual performance reviews for Financial Systems Analysts
Assists Financial Systems Analysts with prioritization of workload and communications, and delegates work assignments as appropriate
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education
Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, preferred; or
High School Diploma or equivalent and ten (10) or more years of experience working with financial systems, required
Master's degree, preferred
Experience
Five (5) or more years of experience working with financial systems required with degree
Ten (10) or more years of experience working with financial systems required without a degree
Three (3) or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferred
Prior experience working within a professional services firm such as accounting, financial services, business advisory and/or banking industries preferred
License(s)/Certification(s)
Oracle ERP certification in PPM or Procurement, preferred
Software
Proficient in Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP PPM, required
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required
Proficient in Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP P2P, preferred

National Range: $120,000 - $130,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $120,000 - $130,000
