HRIS Specialist Join Kutak Rock as an HRIS Specialist and play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This full‑time hybrid position involves working remotely from one of our many office locations across the United States.

Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Job Summary Kutak Rock seeks a detail‑oriented and technically proficient HRIS Specialist to manage and optimize our HRIS, ensuring data integrity, system functionality, and compliance. This role serves as a key liaison between HR and IT, supporting efficient HR operations, data‑driven decisions, and confidential employee information management. It is ideal for a human resource professional who enjoys project management and creative problem‑solving in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities to automate and improve HR processes; build Microsoft Forms/Excel spreadsheets and create Power Automate workflows for notifications/routing; respond to verification of employment requests

Generate standard and ad‑hoc reports, dashboards, and analyses (e.g., headcount, turnover, compensation); provide reporting to HR and internal stakeholders

Provide comprehensive training and technical support to HR staff, managers, and other end‑users on system functionalities

Ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of all employee data, including personal, payroll, benefits, and time‑keeping information

Serve as primary contact between HR, IT, and external vendors for system‑related issues and enhancements

Lead system upgrades, new module implementations, and system integrations with other firm software, including project planning, stakeholder communication, and vendor management

Administer, maintain, and optimize HR systems including the firm’s primary HRIS (ADP Workforce Now), Applicant Tracking System (viRecruit), Rewards/Recognition (Awardco), and Onboarding/Offboarding system (EMPForce), covering data entry, security, and updates

Perform ongoing maintenance; configure onboarding/offboarding workflows/templates; troubleshoot user/configuration issues; and coordinate resolutions with vendors

Ensure HRIS practices comply with data privacy regulations, data security protocols, and firm policies

Qualifications: Skills and Abilities

Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll, benefits, and data security

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and technical skills

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality

Qualifications: Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, or related field

2+ years’ experience in managing and/or configuring HRIS platforms; hands‑on experience with ADP, Workday, or Oracle preferred

Experience in a professional services or law firm environment highly preferred

Salary Range:

$65,000-$95,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid 3:2; may work in one of the offices listed above
