Responsibilities
Review construction plans and specifications for compliance with City Codes, Ordinances, and Standards.
Inspect water projects, sanitary sewers, storm sewer, public buildings, street extensions, and erosion and sediment control measures.
Assist the public with utility and water/sewer line easement locations, answering questions regarding City codes, ordinances, and standards.
Provide technical advice to the public and co-workers.
Measure distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED plus two years of related experience.
Valid driver's license.
Possess or ability to obtain DEQ Erosion Control and Stormwater Inspector Certifications within one year of hire.
