Job Summary The Human Resources Generalist will support day‑to‑day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, and HR process improvements. Working directly with the HR Manager, the Generalist plays an essential role in supporting the company's growing workforce, maintaining accurate employee records, promoting HR best practices, and helping to cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Assist with full‑cycle recruiting for field and office roles

Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation

Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and company practices

Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data entry in the HRIS

Administer benefits programs and support open enrollment activities

Assist with employee relations, investigations, and corrective actions as needed

Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Track and coordinate employee leave (FMLA, ADA, etc.)

Support safety initiatives, workers' compensation claims, and return‑to‑work procedures

Prepare HR reports and assist with audits and documentation

Promote company values and support employee engagement efforts

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

2+ years of generalist‑level HR experience (construction or field service industry preferred)

Knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices

Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., Employee Navigator, Sage 100)

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; PHR or SHRM‑CP certification
