Our client is a multi-site manufacturer of roll-formed and stamped steel and aluminum components serving a range of industrial and commercial markets. They are preparing to implement ISO 9001 certification in 2026 and need a hands-on Quality Manager to lead this strategic initiative

The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, standardizing, and improving quality systems across multiple manufacturing locations.

The Quality Manager develops and leads the ISO 9001 implementation plan, working with Plant Managers, Production, Engineering, and Customer Service ensuring consistent, compliant processes.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement company-wide Quality Management System (QMS) in 2026

Collaborate with Plant Managers to standardize quality procedures, documentation, inspections, testing protocols, corrective action processes, and reporting structures.

Lead internal and supplier audits and customer quality reviews; track resolve nonconformances.

Implement statistical process control, capability analysis, and root cause analysis techniques to reduce variation and improve product consistency.

Manage PPAP, FAI, CPK, and customer‑specific quality documentation where applicable.

Train mentor quality staff, elevate skill sets and ensure consistent quality practices.

Primary contact for customers on quality, including complaint handling and resolution.

Partner with CFO to ensure document control and compliance‑related records management.

Report regularly to VP and CEO on quality metrics, system status, and improvement projects

Work with Engineering on drawing reviews, process capability studies, and production feasibility assessments

Requirements

BS degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related

5+ years quality management expertise in a manufacturing; metal forming, stamping, or fabrication strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience leading ISO 9001 implementation and maintaining certification.

Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, FMEA, SPC, Gage R&R, and structured root‑cause investigation.

Communication and leadership skills to influence without direct authority across multiple sites.

Proficiency in quality management software, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.

Travel: Up to 30% to other US manufacturing facilities.
