Position Details Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment, the Associate Director will assume a leadership role in the overall operations of the Admissions Office, managing critical tasks related to student recruitment and onboarding. The role focuses on increasing efficiency across Communications, Customer Service, Processing, Recruitment, and Transfer Credit Evaluations, and integrating Admissions operations with campus stakeholders. In the Director’s absence, the Associate Director will manage all Admissions operations.

Duties

Manage the admissions and recruitment team of approximately 12+ staff members.

Develop strategic recruitment and outreach plans to enhance enrollment, using data for informed decisions.

Support the Director in ensuring operational efficiency, ethical practices, and transparent data‑keeping.

Lead undergraduate recruitment initiatives, including digital marketing, communication plans, print materials, on‑campus experiences, off‑campus visits, Open Houses, community outreach, and partnerships.

Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize Bronx Community College’s presence in all markets.

Collaborate with the Director and key stakeholders to implement a strategic enrollment plan that meets academic and financial goals, including advising on expansion into new regions.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree and six years of related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree preferred.

Demonstrated progressive responsibility and administrative experience in higher education, with experience in Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment in a public institution and expertise in technology applications to these fields.

Excellent writing, editing, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Compensation and Benefits $98,362 – $113,982. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
