A Day in the Life of an Accounting - Finance Controller
Ensure financial records are complete and accurate.
Oversee the accounting department in a productive and efficient manner.
Monitor the company’s cash flow and create detailed monthly and annual reports for management.
Track job classes to monitor expenses and revenue across locations using QuickBooks.
Analyze large amounts of data with Microsoft Excel.
Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
Reconcile journal entries and balance the general ledger.
Perform financial forecasting and implement cost‑saving measures.
Qualifications for an Accounting - Finance Controller
Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of experience.
Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounting, and cash management.
Proficiency with CRM technology and system integrations.
Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel.
Experience with financial auditing and acquisitions.
Willingness and ability to assist with HR functions.
Desire to take responsibility for financials and personnel in the department.
Strong leadership skills.
Preferred: MBA or other master’s degree.
Work Schedule Monday – Friday,
work‑life‑balanced schedule .
