Responsibilities

Assisting the Branch Manager in sales and sales management, customer service levels, and day-to-day operations of facility(s), and assuming responsibility for the branch in the Manager's absence.

Maintaining knowledge of the bank's sales, service and operations.

Acting as a teller, customer service representative, and supervising operations and sales, while providing legendary service to customers and employees.

Serving as lead for staff by providing a positive example and attitude.

Promoting bank's products and services to current and potential customers while providing education and leadership to staff.

Ensuring customer services are provided, opening accounts, providing customers with information, and resolving banking concerns.

Acting as a resource to staff for operational and customer issues, exercising discretion and good judgment.

Responsible for daily contact with direct report employees and employees in other departments, with two-way communication between all departments ensuring an efficient and productive workplace.

Responding to daily activities governed by the amount of customer traffic in the facility, customer and employee demands, and meetings and classes.

Keeping the Manager informed about activities in the facility.

Having general knowledge of installment lending to act as a liaison between customers and loan officers.

Filling in as a teller when needed.

Helping customers, processing transactions, balancing a teller drawer, assisting tellers with problems and decision making, implementing teller referral model, and explaining policies and procedures.

Opening and closing all types of accounts, selling, and referring customers to other departments and resolving customer complaints.

Responsible for the facility’s referrals and sales.

Reaching personal monthly sales goals and encouraging and being responsible for the facility meeting overall goals.

Having an active role in the entire sales process, being responsible for coaching and motivating employees.

Overseeing operations of facility, opening and closing facility, buying and selling money, maintaining branch cash levels, performing teller cash box audits, monitoring and maintaining night depository agreements, monitoring security and compliance issues, completing branch audits, and overseeing information security.

Responsible for operations of branch including staffing, coaching, loss prevention, and development of knowledgeable well‑trained staff members.

Having a good understanding of security and fraud protections, operations, and products and services.

Promoting team atmosphere providing legendary service to customers and coworkers while ensuring branch operations in accordance with branch control manual standards.

Understanding role in case of robbery and knowing proper post-robbery procedures.

Accountable for other tasks as directed.

Interacting with other bank employees to complete customer and employee requests.

Providing a lead in accuracy, service, strong sales ability, and efficiency for others.

Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.

Tellers, Personal Bankers and Customer Service will report indirectly to Assistant Branch Manager with questions and/or problems.

Assuming responsibilities of branch in Branch Manager's absence.

Training will take place in Mexico, Colombia, and other outlying branches; required to commute to Vandalia and Mexico branches.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and training with at least 2 years of banking experience and 1 year of management experience.

Previous Sales Experience Required.

Experience, performance, and level of supervisory responsibility will determine grade level within ranges for the individual.

Advanced knowledge of teller and new account functions, bank regulations, bank policies and procedures, and bank products and services.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with accuracy.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong customer relations skills.

Must work with employees and customers in a cooperative, positive, professional manner.

Good judgment and ability to handle confidential information and work quickly and accurately to analyze information and make decisions.

Demonstrates ability to proactively assume additional responsibilities, duties, and projects.

Successful completion of in‑house training programs.

Computer skills (email, printer, copy, Microsoft Office), image scanner, cash counting machine, cash dispensing machine, and coin counter.
