IM Tech Specialist - DLMP Ancillary Services
Works with the lab supervisor, lead medical technologist and technical specialists to provide direction for the technical build for the LIS system. Provides Information Management (IM) support for the laboratory section and clinical laboratory technologists. Works with the laboratory management team and DLMP-IT to carry out test implementation in the LIS and provide IM support for problem solving and troubleshooting within the work unit.
Not eligible for visa sponsorship except TN visa classification. Mayo Clinic does not participate in F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science.
Minimum 2 years clinical laboratory work experience required.
Must be capable of performing under time constraints, multi-tasking, and working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Must possess good communication skills and be able to work closely with others.
Must be able to work independently.
Familiarity with personal computers for word processing, spreadsheet preparation and laboratory information systems.
ASCP or other laboratory certification may be required within 12 months of hire, depending on specialty and regulatory requirements.
