Tax Services Senior Analyst – FSO – State & Local Tax EDGE, Income Tax

Our State & Local Tax EDGE practice provides dedicated tax technical services to both U.S. and global clients. The role of Senior Analyst in the FSO EDGE State & Local Tax team is to deliver tax compliance and consulting work, identify opportunities and risks, and build strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights
Identify potential opportunities and risks and communicate these to clients
Research current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor
Develop clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve clients’ tax activities
Research clients’ business operations and build long‑lasting relationships to tailor advice to their specific needs
Work with a motivated team of professionals and build effective long‑term relationships with clients
Maintain reputation in the field by constantly updating and sharing technical and best‑practice knowledge
Skills and Attributes for Success
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline, or graduate degree in Tax or Law
Progress toward CPA or Enrolled Agent license
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in professional services or tax organization
Thorough understanding of automated tax processing systems and laws within your area of professionalism
Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
Commitment to continuing learning
Ideal Additional Qualifications
Thorough understanding of state and local partnership tax
Proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Return Preparation Software
Experience working in a variety of teams
Ability to adapt work style to collaborate with both internal and client team members

What We Offer You
A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with a base salary range of $81,900 to $135,100 (U.S. all geographic locations). Additional details for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) are available upon request.

Hybrid model with clients: work together in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
